Artist Statement: Sketchbox is a visual testament to a journey through mental health recovery, using the raw beauty of nature as both a muse and a therapeutic refuge.

Armed with nothing more than a small, minimalist painting kit, I recorded the emotions, textures, and colors I encountered on each excursion. As I sketched the vibrant hues of a sunset or the delicate dance of ripples across a lake, I began to sense their intrinsic rhythms, and allowed their soothing repetition to ease my mind.
