Widely recognized as one of Saskatchewan's most accomplished artists, Michael Lonechild is known for his acrylic paintings depicting Cree culture. Born in 1955 on White Bear First Nations near Carlyle, Lonechild started selling his art in the 1970s and was soon considered one of the province’s rising artists. Assiniboia Gallery is pleased to present a collection of 12 Michael Lonechild paintings from the 1980's, each unique to the artist's upbringing on the prairies.
