![]() Kristen Bishop "Life Circles" 5/10/2013 - 6/2/2013 Kristen Bishop's first exhibition at Gallery 78 features her "Life Circles" metalwork. Kristen is the most recent NB College of Craft and Design metal arts graduate to present her work through Gallery 78. Using circles and pods, to create form and envelop space, Bishop explores life and its cycles. "Natural forms familiar to us all are the foundation of the design process for this new body of work. The circles and the pod forms are the vehicle with which I explore a series of life cycles. These broken circles carry vessel-like pods that are whole with life, or open and empty. The inside and outside, the perfect and imperfect are equally important." Kristen Bishop, 2013 |
![]() Eric Budovitch "Between Here and There" 5/10/2013 - 6/2/2013 Eric Budovitch returns to Gallery 78 with his latest exhibition. "Between Here and There" shows Budovitch's growth as a painter and builds on his "Moving Day" series and his narrative exploration of place and change. Through his oil paintings and pastels, the artist evokes contemplation in the viewer as we observe a moment captured. "...this show is about how people get "From Here to There" and through the years whether it be represented as baggage or repetition or some other means to capture the...eye and...attention." Eric Budovitch, 2013 |
